There should be more commercial fiction with culturally diverse and non-traditional characters that are not perfect but who own their problems and manifest solutions to inspire and cultivate curious minds.

A native of Vermont, Rose was born and raised in the Green Mountain state where she currently resides with her family. After writing her first choose-your-own-adventure at the age of seven, she knew her calling.

Growing up, Rose worked as a movie theater usher in high school, limousine driver in college, a legal secretary, an IATSE stagehand, and as a researcher at a children’s psychiatric hospital in Florida. In her twenties, after finishing college and tiring of live production work behind the scenes in venues and theatres, she packed a suitcase, her yoga mat and bought a one way ticket to begin a new career as a TEFL English Teacher in Central Europe.

Working at a broad range of tech and creative jobs throughout the world provides endless material for the muse. Her fiction taps into serious real-life concepts with gritty fictional characters living abroad. Rose lived in Prague for several years and spent significant time in Europe, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Israel and Edinburgh, Scotland for research. Her career in technology has given her the tools to productively channel the creative chaos that is her imagination.
